  • I thought that North East Restaurant Direct was a supplier to restaurants only?

       While traditionally a supplier direct to your favorite restaurants, cafes, etc., during the covid-19 pandemic we shifted some of our focus to help bring fresh fruits and vegetables directly to the homes of those impacted by the pandemic.  We utilized the wholesale supply chain as opposed to the traditional grocery store supply chain, and was able to keep our customers stocked up on healthy fruits and vegetables. 

 

  • What area do you serve?

       We currently serve comunities in Mercer, Burlington, Middlesex, Somerset, Monmouth, Ocean, & Hunterdon Counties.  While we do not serve the entirety of all of these counties, please visit our Home Delivery Area page for a complete list of zip codes that we serve.

Ordering & Deliveries

 

  • What types of payments do you accept?

       We offer payment through Paypal via any major credit card as well as directly from your Paypal account.  As the industry leader in ecommerce, you have peace in mind that your information is safe.

 

 

  • I Placed my order, what happens next?

       Once your order has been placed, it will show up as an order awaiting fulfilment in your customer account.  You will recieve an email the day prior to your delivery, informing you that your order is ready to ship.  On the day of your delivery, you will recieve two text messages.  The first message will alert you that your order is 30-60 minutes away.  You will recieve an additional text message once your order has been contactlessly left at your doorstep.  Please use these notifications to promptly retrieve your order to ensure freshness.  Our orders are packed in refridgeration, shipped on refridgerated trucks, however just like your groceries from the store, they need to be put away promptly.

 

  • How Long will it take to recieve my order?

       We currently ship in about 2 business days.  Our current delivery schedule is Tuesday - Saturday.  All oders placed by 10:00 PM on Thursday will be guaranteed delivery on Saturday.  Those placed after that time will be delivered on Tuesday.

 

  • Can I place an order for a family member or friend that would benefit from this service?

       Absolutley, we have many customers that place orders for parents, siblings, friends, etc.  Please ensure that you distinguish your billing address and their shipping address.  Please use the best email & cell phone number so that we can ensure that proper notice of delivery is given.

 

Customer Service

 

  • I recieved an email saying my order was shipping today, and I have not received it yet, what should I do?

       We time our deliveries between the hours of 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM, so there is a good chance that the driver has not reached you yet.  If your package fails to arrive, please call us at (908) 333-4720 EXT 1 so that we can rectify the issue as soon as possible.

 

  • I had an issue with my delivery, what should I do? 

       While we strive for perfection, we will be the first to say we are not.  Due to the high perishability of fruits and vegetables, we do have quailty issues from time to time.  Our order fulfillers do an excellent job ensuring quality and order accuracty, however there are omissions or mistakes that do occur.  Please call us at (908) 333-4720 EXT 1 so that we can rectify the issue as soon as possible.
